To prepare a draft standard, as described in (DE/NOT)81 (Portable apparatus for earthing and short-circuiting; Guided earthing rods and short-circuiting devices) - This standard applies to portable earthing and short-circuiting equipment using "lances" for earthing and short-circuiting of isolated electrical system sections in which the de-energized state has been previously verified. The requirements apply to lances for use in AC systems up to 60 Hz. This standard covers two different types of earthing and short-circuiting lances: - up to 36 kV system voltage and - 52 kV to 420 kV system voltage. The requirements also apply to line contact attachments.
