CENELEC

Cooperating partners
CENELEC establishes specific Cooperation Agreements with European organizations interested in supporting and contributing to the electrotechnical standardization.
The CENELEC Cooperating Partners are independent European or international Europe-based organizations representing, with a sufficient degree within their defined area of competence, a sector or subsector of the electrotechnical field.
All proposals and contributions from cooperating organizations are introduced to the CENELEC Technical Board (CLC/BT), where they are in turn referred to the relevant Technical Body. Representatives of Cooperating Partners may be invited to the Technical Body meetings where their contribution is processed. The possibility of permanent observership status in identified Technical Bodies is also offered against payment of a minimal annual fee.
The description of the principles and procedures for the establishment and implementation of Cooperation Agreements between CENELEC and organizations interested in the European Electrotechnical Standardization is given in CENELEC Guide 14.
