• The next meeting is in Paris from Monday, 12th of September to Tuesday, 13th of September, 2005. All experts from the technical field of the explosion protection of electrical equipment are very welcome!!!!

• Frequently asked question about  Parallel Voting between IEC and CLC:

Question:
Can you tell me if there is someway for us to know when the CENELEC EN 500XX standards are going to be withdrawn in favor of the IEC 60079 series. Or will they remain in place, never to change? Obviously, new IEC 60079-0 and 60079-1 are out. What is then the status of EN 50014 and 50018? Thanks so much for your assistance.
Answer:
Different parts out of the EN 60079-0 series will gradually supersede the standards out of the "EN 50014 series" which are presently listed in the Official Journal (OJ). The switching over between both series will be shown in an appropriate, updated consolidated list of harmonised standards that will be published by the European Commission in the Official Journal under the ATEX Directive.

Presumption of conformity on the basis of the different standards is ruled by the principles set out in this consolidated list (see date of cessation) e.g. EN 50019:2000 will be withdrawn from OJ listing on 2006-07-01.

We have made two different lists, one ordered by Reference, and the other by Technical Body (CENELEC and IEC)
